I had my reflection night postponed to tonight, because of the crazy week we've had. Tuesday we went and met one of the people on project at the airport, so Bible study was pushed back to Wednesday night. That means that reflection night, had to be moved to tonight. I really like reflection night. (not that there's been a whole lot on this project that I haven't liked)
I am starting another book for my reflection time. I am now reading a copy of Tim Keller's "The Reason for God." I just read the first couple of chapters tonight, and I believe I am really going to enjoy it.
I also am very excited for tomorrow's camping trip. We leave from the office in the afternoon, and won't be back until later on Saturday. I have really enjoyed the time I've been able to spend with the guys, and I think this trip will be a great experience for all of us.
Another note on me being frustrated by our critique from earlier this week: Totally worth it. I didn't want to have to redo the stuff we had worked on, but today we actually got to work on fixing the things that were mentioned, and the video is looking much better because of it. I've always been reluctant to edit things, but it seems the stuff that I do go over multiple times turn out to be the best work. Any of you can ask my mom. She could tell you about me writing my speech for high-school graduation. I wrote a speech, and thought it was just fine after one attempt. Mom thought differently. It was "fine" yes, but I could do much better. I rewrote the thing two more times, and the final product was far better than the original.
I have experiences like that, and yet still I don't like when somebody gives me constructive criticism. Please pray that God would help me with that, and that I would not take offense when people are only trying to get the best out of me (and my team in this case.) So, until next time,
God Bless.

We hope you have a great time camping, I think Dad and Blake and Steph and I are going for a weekend in July maybe. Michael you are so honest, we do pray for you and feel you are seeking Gods direction.
ReplyDeleteLove the pics!!! Was going to tell you that if you are at a Mayflower Museum, can't remember which one, but there is a cradle there for Periguine White, first baby born in the U.S. but I believe on the Mayflower, he is Scott's 10th great grandpa! We don't have a lot of history on the White family, and I don't think there is historically either. Anyway, just in case you run into something like that. We could look at a million pics! so keep them coming!!! Of course we love your blogs too! What an exciting summer!!! Will we get to see your final project? hope so! Good luck and God Bless!..Scott and Celeste
