That said, Bible study is going to be excellent. There are five guys altogether. (Me, the other two males on the project, and two of the male leaders). We just ate and talked last night, but I know that we are going to have some great talks.
Today was an exciting day with its ups and downs. It was the first time we'd gone to campus to share. We all went to UMASS in Boston. Problem was, today is UMASS's graduation. Most everyone who was there was preparing for graduation, or had just finished.
I was paired up with Nate Miller (one of the leaders of the Bible study). We did manage to talk to a few people. The first was a girl who had just started going to church more regularly, but was definitely still searching for something. I talked with her some, and Nate threw in some useful follow up questions. We left her with a tract called Knowing God Personally, and hopefully it will be a seed for God to use.
The next group we talked to was three people. They were likely Chinese, and claimed to be atheists. We
(basically Nate) talked with them for a little while, but didn't really get to tell them much about Christ.
I admit that coming back I was feeling a little down, because most of what happened was due to Nate, and I just didn't feel that I had laid myself on the line for God, so I was disappointed in myself, and thought the day was a bit of a loss.
That was until I got back. I was assured on multiple accounts. Some other people on the project had trouble connecting with others, and were too shy, but there were others who came back that had great talks, and nobody accepted Christ into their lives today on our account, but some connections were made, and definitely seeds were planted.
It was a great relief, and a good way to end the week. Tonight we are all meeting at the Cheesecake Factory, and having dessert, so I thought I had better write this early. Thank you all for reading, I have been assured by my family that there are indeed many of you. So...Until next time,
God Bless.
